Lambert Becomes National Auctioneers Association Ambassador

Dallas, TX – September, 2014 – Voted on by a group of her peers, Wendy Lambert emerges from a field of 92 competitors to take home the prestigious title of International Auctioneer Champion (IAC). Not only is Lambert able to tout the impressive title, but also a year as an ambassador for the National Auctioneers Association. Founded in 1949, the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) is the world's largest professional association dedicated to professional auctioneers. The NAA is an organization that was built by auctioneers, for auctioneers. The association houses about 4,000 individuals from countries all over the world. Members are required to pay dues and follow the NAA Code of Ethics. Only two individuals, one male and one female, are voted as IAC. Auctioneers are judged on their stage presence, their chant and an interview portion. The judge panel consists of seven judges, of which at least two are women. “It feels like such a blessing to be honored by people who are invested in your career and who do the same thing you do,” Lambert said of her victory. “I want to use the gift of the microphone to help bless other people. Be it through raising money, holding conventions or simply encouraging others, I will do it. This is something I’ve wanted since first starting my career, and I could not be more proud to represent my industry’s top organization for the next year.” The IAC was conducted as part of the NAA's 65th Annual International Auctioneers Conference and Show, which took place in Louisville July 8-12.

FORT WORTH, TX- A new Texas champion auctioneer was decided, appropriately, on Champion Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas on June 29th. Lambert has been involved in the auction industry for over 20 years, an auctioneer in her own right for five years and is married to a Texas champion auctioneer, as well. Lambert, a native of Fort Worth, operates a division of Lambert Auction Company specializing in benefit and fund-raising auctions and holds the Benefit Auction Specialist designation from National Auctioneers Association.
